JMG was awarded as the "Best Program in the Nation" in July 2007 by Jobs for America's Graduates for exceeding national outcome standards for 13 consecutive years.

As JMG celebrates its 15th anniversary, we are embracing an aggressive expansion plan to increase the number of students served. With increased funding from the state of Maine, national grants and our business partners throughout the state, JMG’s goal is to increase the number of students served per year in JMG programs from 2,600 to 4,000 by 2009. To begin that process, JMG has added six new programs this year – Old Town, Mount Desert Island, Winslow Middle School, Mt. Ararat High School, Brewer High School and Oak Hill High School.

JMG is also pursuing the goal of increasing the number of students going on to continued education from 45% to 50%. Making students aware of the education requirements for specific career opportunities helps young people realize the value of a continued education. JMG encourages students to explore life long learning.
