1. JMG Specialist - Calais Area High School

Jobs for Maine’s Graduates, Inc. (JMG) seeks a JMG Specialist to fill a teaching position at Calais Area High School which will work with high school students in a progressive school retention and school-to-work transition program. This full-time position requires a dedicated educator who is confident, a self-starter, and who can work collaboratively with our school partners. As a main part of his/her role, the Specialist will be teaching classes on career preparation, job attainment, and leadership skills.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, excellent communication skills, creativity, high functioning team player, willingness to advocate for youth and confidence with relationship building among JMG stakeholders. Secondary Teacher Certification is a requirement. If the applicant is not certified or is certified in another area, they must be willing to work towards their Secondary Teacher Certification.

(JMG) seeks a JMG Middle School Specialist to fill a teaching position at Memorial Middle School in South Portland to facilitate our program working with 6th through 8th grade students in a non-traditional learning environment. This full-time position requires a dedicated educator who is confident, a self-starter and who can work collaboratively with our school partners. Experience with adventure education, character development, service learning and community service is preferred.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, excellent communication skills, creativity, high functioning team player, willingness to advocate for youth and confidence with relationship building among JMG stakeholders. Teacher Certification preferred.
