7th Grade Project Reach students from all over the state travel by boat to Cow Island in Casco Bay for leadership activities. Students camp on the island overnight and are involved in a number of initiatives that build communication and teamwork skills. Students also receive a lesson in kayaking. For some students, this is the first time they have been to Casco Bay or seen the ocean.

Volunteers are needed to help with meals (cooking and serving) as well as general chaperone duties. This is a very rustic setting – no electricity! Volunteers sleep in the concrete bunkers built on the island or in tents.
