News + Events › Annual Student Events › Field Day / Construction Career Day

Field Day brings together JMG underclassmen from all over the state for a day of team building activities. More than 700 students gather to participate in outdoor activities from rock wall climbing to obstacle courses. This event takes place on the Husson College Campus in Bangor.

Construction Career Day is currently planned to occur on the same day. JMG premiered this event in the Spring of 2007 with the participation of many leaders in the construction industry in Maine. The idea of the event is to connect high school students with the opportunities in the construction industry. Students engage in hands-on demonstrations to learn about careers in construction, welding, etc. Construction Career Day will take place pending renewal of the initial grant to fund the event.
